DAN | Basic Life Support
The DAN Basic Life Support certification is a prerequisite to our Rescue Diver course. This class teaches basic first aid skills (including CPR for adults, children & infants) and provides the steps to follow for emergency care. This training gives you the knowledge and confidence on how to respond when faced with a medical emergency. This is the most comprehensive CPR/First Aid course for the layman on the market and is ecellent for both divers & non-divers alike. This course certifies you for CPR & First aid (primary & secondary care) and will also renew your CPR certification (renewal needed every 2 years).

What to expect in this course:
Our basic life support (BLS) course teaches divers (and non-divers alike) how to respond to emergencies as well as common workplace accidents. Covering CPR & AED usage for adults, children & infants, wound management, splinting, choking, scene evaluation, and more. This class fulfills the prerequisite requirements for our rescue course.

- Your online learning, tests & one on one instructor review.
- In-person classroom training with a certified instructor

What you will learn:
- CPR administration for children, infants, and adults.
- AED use for children and adults.
- First aid for possible workplace incidents.
- Wound packing, tourniquet use, splinting, suctioning, etc.
- First aid for common injuries.
- How to recognize and evaluate an emergency and victim.
- Be able to provide 1-person infant, child, and adult CPR to a non-breathing or injured person and administer the proper first aid.
- Properly use an automated external defibrillator (AED)

- 10 years or older (Under 18 requires parental consent)

- Satisfactorily complete the online learning course with a passing test score.
- Complete all classroom requirements efficiently.
Time Requirements:
- 3-4 hours for online learning.
- 7-8 hours of instructor led classroom training
