The Rescue Diver course is a confidence-building program strongly recommended for all active divers. Through understanding the causes of diver stress and distress, students will learn to prevent and control potentially hazardous situations. Emphasis is placed on prevention through recognition and good dive planning.

Basic First Aid is covered with the focus on diving related injuries. Situational role playing is utilized, starting with self-help techniques, then moving on to assisting distressed divers, and eventually addressing a complete serious accident management plan. Both in water skills and land management decision-making abilities are developed.
